Social Remedy
Social Remedy is Byron’s social wellness club, built around training, recovery and community. The business operates across Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads, with 11 electricity accounts using around 208 MWh a year.
The Challange
When Spinifex Energy engaged Social Remedy, its 11 electricity accounts were spread across four different retailers, each with its own pricing and its own bill. With so many separate accounts, pricing was fragmented and hard to benchmark, and there was no single view of whether the business was getting a competitive deal.
Identifying the Opportunity
Spinifex reviewed usage and costs across every site and approached our panel of leading Australian energy retailers for pricing across the whole portfolio. Offers were compared site by site and in total, so Social Remedy could see exactly where the savings sat.

The saving comes from treating the 11 sites as one portfolio rather than 11 separate accounts. Each site is priced individually, and the two highest-use sites deliver roughly 90% of the total saving. This is a common opportunity for multi-site businesses that have accumulated accounts with different retailers over time.
